When Things Go Wrong

Knowing how to get assistance when you need it can keep a small issue from becoming a big problem. If something in your GIS site isn't working, use "Report a Problem" at the bottom of your GIS portal page to let us know-and we'll work on getting it fixed for you!

So what exactly does "Report a Problem" do and why do we recommend using it? That little link lets you contact the entire GIS development team (and fearless leader, Tim) with just a few clicks. Not only that, but it adds your problem to a queuing system which yells at us until we fix your problem - making it easier to track than email alone.

For faster resolutions, we need a few pieces of information from you:

  • Your contact information (in case we can't find the problem and so we can notify you upon resolution)
  • A description of the problem
  • Where the problem occurs (eg. Manhole 12 near Main St.)

So now you know how to use “Report a Problem”. But what if THAT isn’t working? When push comes to shove, you can always contact [email protected]. And if you have something urgent, a call to our office at (262) 542-5733 will always get you immediate assistance!
