The Hydrant Inspections Tool: A How-To Guide

Recording Hydrant Inspections in AssetAlly is an efficient way to track and manage municipal hydrant data. This step-by-step tutorial will help you navigate the Hydrant Inspection Tool, but as always, if you have any questions you can contact us at any time.

Hydrant Inspection data can be recorded and accessed in two ways: from the Portal Page and from the GIS Viewer.

Portal Page Hydrant Inspections

If your municipality is subscribed to the Water Utilities Suite, a Hydrant Widget will be visible on your home screen portal page. To view the Hydrant General Search page click the hydrant icon as pictured below.

The Hydrant General Search page allows you to search by hydrant numbers, inspection, repairs needed, and repairs made. Using the Hydrant General Search is an efficient method to look-up hydrant data without going into the map and panning or searching by a query.

If you do not know the exact Hydrant Number, but know the street name on which it’s located, select the Street Name drop-down field, choose the correct Street Name, and click Search. Search results will appear below the Search button.
